Development to provide 9 Flats
A proposal for this backland site has been developed in line with the Councils small sites SPD. The applicant has refined the proposal following two rounds of pre-application discussion with the Officers, and before making any formal planning submission the applicant wishes to discuss the proposal with their Neighbours.

‘Demolition of the existing dwelling and ancillary buildings; Redevelopment of the site to provide 1 bungalow and 7 flats, ancillary parking, landscaping etc.
The proposed development will make efficient use of a suburban site, support the sustainable development aims of the Council and provide much needed new homes for future generations. The proposal provides 1 replacement family sized, fully disabled compliant bungalow to the rear of the site and 7 spacious, high quality flats in a single replacement building.
The scheme has been carefully designed to accord with national and local planning policies. The proposal has been discussed with the Council at Pre-application stage and has been amended to address the feedback. The Applicant is now seeking comments from their neighbours before making any formal submissions.
Careful assessment has been made of the attractive trees on the site and the scheme has been amended to ensure they can be protected and thrive for their full lifetime. Recommendations for planting additional high-quality trees will be implemented as part of the scheme.
